The Role of Alkaline Water in These Recipes

The use of alkaline water in the concoction of citrus juices balances acidity. The balance, then, helps ease the elimination of acids and other toxic wastes in the body.

When washing the skins of fruits and vegetables, it’s best to use Tyent’s alkaline turbo water. This specific type of water can remove oil-based herbicides and pesticides which regular water can’t do.

One of my fav Mom hacks, when your kids love homemade cookies but you don’t always feel like making them, make them ahead of time and freeze them in ice cube trays, silicone trays, those old baby food storage containers you have left from when your kids were little etc. And when your tiny humans want fresh cookies just pop a few cookie dough cubes out and throw in the oven and with 15 – 20 minutes you have fresh cookies #momhacks #lifehacks #momlife #momof4 #sahm #sahmlife #baking #cookies #bakingprep #foodprep #makeahead #freezerstock #readywhenyouare #foodporn #bakingporn #siliconemolds #timesaver #homemade #realfood #realingredients #cookiedoughcubes #cookiedough #chocolatechip #instafood #instabaking #instamom #brandonmb #bdnmb #westman #manitoba

Freshly baked cookies beat store-bought cookies all the time. You can freeze homemade cookie dough for up to three months. When you use ice cube trays to store your cookie dough, you won’t need to thaw them out and roll them into smaller, ready-to-bake sizes. Simply scoop the cookie dough into each ice tray compartment and cover it with cling wrap before storing it in the freezer. Whenever you get a craving for a freshly baked cookie, just pop out a couple for cookie dough cubes from the tray and put them in the oven!

11. Bacon Fat Cubes

Bacon fat is great to cook with. This flavorful oil is rich and smoky, so don’t throw it out! Instead, store the oil in an ice cube tray and use it for other dishes in the future. When you’re ready to use your frozen bacon fat, simply pop it out of the tray and put it on your frying pan! It goes really well with sautéed vegetables, baked potatoes, and even scrambled eggs!

I find alkaline water tastes great in green smoothies, so here’s my favorite for when you need a real zingy boost. It works anytime. Personally, I enjoy the decadence of enjoying a mojito recipe for breakfast!

Today, I am going to share how to make a mojito my way. Then, I will add more mojito recipes so you can have some variety for breakfast.

1. Classic Mint Mojito Recipe

Classic Mint Mojito Recipe | A Real Smoothie | Alkaline Water Breakfast Mojito, Anyone?

My favorite is a classic mojito with mint! I add a little extra honey for the kids and call it Hulk Juice, by the way.

Mojito Ingredients:

  • Lots of fresh mint leaves picked
  • 1 cup of baby leaf spinach
  • 1 banana
  • Juice of 1 lime (have one for the wedge)
  • ¼ cup alkaline water
  • Crushed ice (add to produce the thickness/dilution as you desired)
  • Honey to taste

  1. Combine all mojito ingredients into the blender, liquid first.
  2. Add the ice as you go along. Taste to check if it is already right for you.
  3. Serve in highball or long glasses with a slice of a lime wedge for adults for garnish. Use a straw and a lame Hulk imitation for the kids.

2. Watermelon Mojitos Recipe

Watermelon Mojitos Recipe | A Real Smoothie | Alkaline Water Breakfast Mojito, Anyone?

Sometimes lots of mint doesn’t appeal to the taste buds. Kids, especially, will like something a bit sweeter. Here’s the perfect mojito recipe to try with the help of the watermelon and your alkaline water! (Note: This drink is also excellent if you miss the feeling of summer.)

Mojito Ingredients:

  • A handful of watermelon cubes
  • A few pieces of mint leaves
  • ¼ cup of alkaline water
  • 4 pieces of ice cubes

  1. Pour alkaline water and add the ice cubes into the blender. Pulse for a few seconds until they form into a mixture.
  2. Cut your watermelon into cubes or smaller slices and add them into the blender.
  3. Then add the mint leaves. You can chop them into smaller pieces, so they’re easier to blend.
  4. Serve cool!

Tip: If you want to add more sweetness, you can use a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. You can also add some agave, which is a much healthier sweetener than regular sugar.

3. Strawberry Mojito Recipe

Strawberry Mojito Recipe | A Real Smoothie | Alkaline Water Breakfast Mojito, Anyone?

Watermelons are delicious and help make a lovely fruity drink, but they also have a high glycemic index. In other words, they can raise your blood sugar levels quickly. If you have problems with glucose but want to drink some “cocktail” occasionally, the strawberry mojito drink recipe is for you.

Mojito Ingredients:

  • A handful of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 5 to 6 leaves of mint
  • ¼ cup of alkaline water
  • 5 to 6 ice cubes
  • Honey

  • In a blender, combine the alkaline water and the ice cubes. Blend well until you cannot see the crushed ice.
  • Add the slices of strawberries and then the chopped mint leaves.
  • Add a teaspoon of honey to taste.

Another way to make this is to crush the strawberries and the mint leaves together. Then, you can pour in the chilled water. Combine the mixture and place in the fridge to let it cool some more.

Note: Don’t be afraid to try the other berries. Have some blueberry or blackberry too!

Few More Tips to Make the Best Mojito Recipe

Want to elevate a mojito drink recipe? I have a few more tips for you:

  • Always use fresh ingredients. For the fruits, as much as possible avoid using the canned versions. Some of them may already have additives or a lot of sugar.
  • Use only alkaline water. Avoid tap or even distilled water. This blog post will explain the reasons. Besides, alkaline water is truly healthy for the body. Remember, our body is slightly alkaline. Your exposure to environmental toxins and the food you eat, among others, can make it into something acidic. The alkaline water can help bring back the body’s ideal pH level. If you want a steady supply of alkaline water, you can invest in a water ionizing machine. Tyent has many options for you.
  • Have a fun-filled Mexican breakfast meal. You can pair a mojito recipe with an equally healthy guacamole recipe.
  • If you can’t get enough of the drink, make a batch. Store the rest in the fridge and consume them within the next three days.
  • If you also want a fancy drink at night time, save some of your breakfast mojito. Add a wee bit of white rum by dinnertime. It will go well with this grilled chicken fajita recipe.

If you already have a favorite mojito recipe, then you can add more to your collection with these options. You can switch them around, even the ingredients. For example, instead of a watermelon, you can use fresh mango. When you want something sweet, skip the honey or the agave. Use fresh pineapple juice instead. Some recipes will work better than the others, but smoothies are fun to experiment with! I am also confident you can never go wrong with alkaline water for your smoothie.

Serve Up Some Tantalizing Appetizers This Holiday Season!

Almost every holiday gathering has good food and drinks to enjoy with family and friends while catching up with each other. Let’s face it: sometimes…that’s the whole point of celebrating the holiday season.

No one turns down a holiday appetizer or three!

Turkey and all the traditional side dishes and trimmings are nothing short of fabulous, but you know what else everyone just loves to eat during the holidays? Finger foods. Appetizers. Hors-d’oeuvres.

Whatever you call them, those little snacks that you hold delicately in one hand, chatting away with family and friends while the cooking aromas drift out of the kitchen, are irresistible.

Umm…We’re a Little Busy Here?

But hang on. Isn’t there already enough to do?

What with basting, steaming, sautéing and baking, can’t we just open a bag of potato chips or something?

Sure, you could…and everyone would be happy.

But if you want to push the appetizer-boat out just a little further – we’ve rounded up three delightful ideas that take minutes to prepare and will perfectly satisfy your guests’ appetites.

Each recipe roughly feeds 12 people – so multiply or divide as needed!

Tyent’s TANTALIZING Holiday Appetizers

1) Some Like it Hot. And Bacon-y.

What You Need:

  • 24 jalapeno chilies
  • 1 cup of cream cheese
  • 12 slices of bacon

What You Do:

  • Take each jalapeno, cut in half, and fill with cream cheese.
  • Put the halves back together and wrap each stuffed chili with half a slice of bacon.
  • Arrange each bacon-wrapped stuffed chili on a baking sheet.
  • Cook in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes at 400 degrees F.

This appetizer combines the right amount of heat and the right amount of bacon to ignite a flavorful explosion on your taste buds!

2) Sweet and Savory Skewers

What You Need:

  • 4 apples, cut into pieces
  • 12 ounces Brie, cut into neat cubes, roughly the same size as the apple
  • ¾ cup salted caramel
  • ¾ cup chopped dates and pecans

What You Do:

  • Simply thread the brie and apple pieces onto mini-skewers.
  • Arrange the mini-skewers on a platter.
  • Drizzle with the salted caramel.
  • Sprinkle with the chopped dates and nuts.

This appetizer is so ridiculously simple to make and yet tastes heavenly!

3) Smokey Chickpeas

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Hickory smoke blend powder, smoked spices or smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt

What You Do:
