  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered turmeric
  • 1 liter of alkaline water from your water ionizer
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

What You Do:

  • Gently warm the water in a saucepan (no need to boil)
  • Add in the ginger and turmeric
  • Leave it alone to infuse for 15 minutes
  • Stir in honey to taste

You may not believe it, but you can make an amazing mojito recipe for breakfast. You don’t even have to worry a lot about calories because they are healthy. All you need to do is to read the rest of this blog post.

Smoothies are such a fabulous way to get good things into your body. They are easy to digest and fun to make. The process of making them also retains most of the nutrition of the ingredients.

Because of their benefits, more people are switching to smoothies. Unsurprisingly, you can find a lot of great recipes. You can even try a different one for every day of the year!

That’s not all! You can also make these smoothies with alkaline water from your ionizer. By combining all of those fresh fruits and vegetables with your ionized water at breakfast time, you’ll have the most awesomely hydrating, energy-boosting start to your day!

I find alkaline water tastes great in green smoothies, so here’s my favorite for when you need a real zingy boost. It works anytime. Personally, I enjoy the decadence of enjoying a mojito recipe for breakfast!

Today, I am going to share how to make a mojito my way. Then, I will add more mojito recipes so you can have some variety for breakfast.

1. Classic Mint Mojito Recipe

My favorite is a classic mojito with mint! I add a little extra honey for the kids and call it Hulk Juice, by the way.

Mojito Ingredients:

  • Lots of fresh mint leaves picked
  • 1 cup of baby leaf spinach
  • 1 banana
  • Juice of 1 lime (have one for the wedge)
  • ¼ cup alkaline water
  • Crushed ice (add to produce the thickness/dilution as you desired)
  • Honey to taste

Directions:

  1. Combine all mojito ingredients into the blender, liquid first.
  2. Add the ice as you go along. Taste to check if it is already right for you.
  3. Serve in highball or long glasses with a slice of a lime wedge for adults for garnish. Use a straw and a lame Hulk imitation for the kids.

2. Watermelon Mojitos Recipe

Watermelon Mojitos Recipe | A Real Smoothie | Alkaline Water Breakfast Mojito, Anyone?

Sometimes lots of mint doesn’t appeal to the taste buds. Kids, especially, will like something a bit sweeter. Here’s the perfect mojito recipe to try with the help of the watermelon and your alkaline water! (Note: This drink is also excellent if you miss the feeling of summer.)

Mojito Ingredients:

  • A handful of watermelon cubes
  • A few pieces of mint leaves
  • ¼ cup of alkaline water
  • 4 pieces of ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Pour alkaline water and add the ice cubes into the blender. Pulse for a few seconds until they form into a mixture.
  2. Cut your watermelon into cubes or smaller slices and add them into the blender.
  3. Then add the mint leaves. You can chop them into smaller pieces, so they’re easier to blend.
  4. Serve cool!

Tip: If you want to add more sweetness, you can use a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. You can also add some agave, which is a much healthier sweetener than regular sugar.

3. Strawberry Mojito Recipe

Watermelons are delicious and help make a lovely fruity drink, but they also have a high glycemic index. In other words, they can raise your blood sugar levels quickly. If you have problems with glucose but want to drink some “cocktail” occasionally, the strawberry mojito drink recipe is for you.

Mojito Ingredients:

  • A handful of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 5 to 6 leaves of mint
  • ¼ cup of alkaline water
  • 5 to 6 ice cubes
  • Honey

Directions:

  • In a blender, combine the alkaline water and the ice cubes. Blend well until you cannot see the crushed ice.
  • Add the slices of strawberries and then the chopped mint leaves.
  • Add a teaspoon of honey to taste.

Another way to make this is to crush the strawberries and the mint leaves together. Then, you can pour in the chilled water. Combine the mixture and place in the fridge to let it cool some more.

Note: Don’t be afraid to try the other berries. Have some blueberry or blackberry too!
 

Few More Tips to Make the Best Mojito Recipe

Want to elevate a mojito drink recipe? I have a few more tips for you:

  • Always use fresh ingredients. For the fruits, as much as possible avoid using the canned versions. Some of them may already have additives or a lot of sugar.
  • Use only alkaline water. Avoid tap or even distilled water. This blog post will explain the reasons. Besides, alkaline water is truly healthy for the body. Remember, our body is slightly alkaline. Your exposure to environmental toxins and the food you eat, among others, can make it into something acidic.   • Have a fun-filled Mexican breakfast meal. You can pair a mojito recipe with an equally healthy guacamole recipe.

For example, instead of a watermelon, you can use fresh mango. When you want something sweet, skip the honey or the agave. Use fresh pineapple juice instead. Some recipes will work better than the others, but smoothies are fun to experiment with! I am also confident you can never go wrong with alkaline water for your smoothie.

Each recipe roughly feeds 12 people – so multiply or divide as needed!

Tyent’s TANTALIZING Holiday Appetizers

1) Some Like it Hot. And Bacon-y. 

What You Need:

  • 24 jalapeno chilies
  • 1 cup of cream cheese
  • 12 slices of bacon

What You Do:

  • Take each jalapeno, cut in half, and fill with cream cheese.
  • Put the halves back together and wrap each stuffed chili with half a slice of bacon.
  • Arrange each bacon-wrapped stuffed chili on a baking sheet.
  • Cook in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes at 400 degrees F.

This appetizer combines the right amount of heat and the right amount of bacon to ignite a flavorful explosion on your taste buds!

2) Sweet and Savory Skewers

What You Need:

  • 4 apples, cut into pieces
  • 12 ounces Brie, cut into neat cubes, roughly the same size as the apple
  • ¾ cup salted caramel
  • ¾ cup chopped dates and pecans

What You Do:

  • Simply thread the brie and apple pieces onto mini-skewers.
  • Arrange the mini-skewers on a platter.
  • Drizzle with the salted caramel.
  • Sprinkle with the chopped dates and nuts.

This appetizer is so ridiculously simple to make and yet tastes heavenly!

3) Smokey Chickpeas

What You Need:

  • 15 ounce can of chickpeas, drained and patted dry
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Hickory smoke blend powder, smoked spices or smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt

What You Do:

  • Combine chickpeas with olive oil.
  • Bake in the oven at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes, shaking the tray every 10 minutes.
  • Pour the chickpeas into a serving bowl.
  • Toss with smoked spice blend and salt.

This appetizer is….seriously delicious!
